Elle a su nourrir l’imaginaire collectif au fil des ans, à travers des mythes et des légendes urbaines. Vous avez peut-être déjà entendu parler de son influence sur le comportement des humains et des animaux. Saviez-vous qu’au XVIIIe siècle en Angleterre, les auteurs de crimes ayant été commis les soirs de pleine lune écopaient une peine moins lourde pour cause de “folie sous l’effet lunaire”. Autre fait intéressant, avant les hôpitaux psychiatriques actuels, il existait des “Asiles pour lunatiques” : le terme “lunatique” vient du latin lunaticus- dont l’esprit est dérangé par l’influence de la lune.
D’un point de vue spirituel, la lune est un symbole de féminité, de la Mère Divine, de l’inconscient et du monde onirique. Les anciens peuples vivaient en harmonie avec les lois de la nature et suivaient les cycles lunaires dans la réalisation de différentes activités telles que les semailles, les cueillettes, la pêche…
Nous faisons partie d’un tout, tout est lié.
