My shown work ‘a winter-tale’ video short projection and paintings-on-board, were conceived within my interest in the Crypt Gallery, London and exhibited there at this stage, linked to the initial meaning of the crypta as a burial place and a chapel to display them as an introduction to composite experimental work and research. The title is ‘a winter-tale’ and the 1st overseen reference is obvious - the popular Shakespeare play. But the works also include many not so direct ‘citations’ . My art practice and current pedagogic interests are mainly set within my research into memory. I am fascinated in how much that memories mean to us, very often without them being recognized in our personal formation and identity issues. The memory provokes a very complex image with its relation to the theories of the unconscious and the language. In the traces/scars of memories we can witness something that is vivid, vibrant and multi-faceted overlapping between cultures, gender and time.

Exercises the profession of artist as a main activity
Biography
I do explore the journey between the art and memory, the painting and the image. They're so many faces coming from the seen - in photo albums or in any captured moment here and now. I hope that art guides us a step further in the no man's land of our past and future, serves to bridge existing language barriers, and peel back the layers of what appears to become familiar.
Exploring the vibrant texture of the image and painting, I am captivated by the light and experience of it.
I love painting from my early teens' age. And still do. It took over with my ongoing study and work.
We'll see in the painting thought and paint or brush strokes the start of a new existence and in its un/conscious meanings would start to trace the link between the image and its possible wording of our thoughts and immersive experience.
I always appreciate the sharp-eye of friends and people touched by the seen and thought, their shared deep insights about life, art, and human knowledge.
The friendly human interaction is the cornerstone of a new bridge for understanding ourselves and the other, work on our surrounding, with new hope and on the road to a bright future!

Am glad to share that 'Under The Blossom Tree' is chosen in the second round of judging of The Harley Open 2020. The dates of delivery of the painting regarding the current situation with the coronavirus pandemic are, of course, TBC. But in this sort of estranged time, I feel likely safer to think of Art must go on too! Art and Life! Life and Art!
