Biography
I have enlisted my own keen observation and experimentation to develope my technique as a self taught artist. I began taking a serious approach to my art in 2009 but it wasn't until 2010 that I discovered pastel and began to blossom as an artist. Through out the years I have dabbled in a variety of mediums including drawing, pen and ink, watercolor, oils and charcoal. The opacity and vibrant colors of pastel seemed most suited for my style and I am experimenting while honing my art skills in this medium.
I am also a published artist and have received numerous awards and recognition for my works. In 2011 I have begun to expand on my territory and have three solo exhibits listed for the next year in galleries throughout SE Minnesota as well as some art fair appearances.

My art work will be on display at the Austin Area Art Center Austin, MN October 7th to the 26th. I will also be teaching a course on beginning pastels. Pastel for beginner/intermediate
Beginning course in pastels. What materials are available, differences in pastel brands and paper surfaces, which is best for you? Techniques in creating different effects, textures, depth. Underpainting techniques widely used by a variety of artists. I hour demonstration of a complete painting. Hands on project with instructor Marc Moller.
