Between writing, photography, tapestry, decoration, Emmanuelle, from Bordeaux, turned towards painting.

During drawing, Emmanuelle drew a lot of nudes, very often men, finding that women were over-represented in this category. But with time and a lot of experience, it is towards the faces of women that she has dedicated her painting. "To pay homage to them," she said.

Emmanuelle presents us in the main room of the Espace an exhibition of about twenty paintings of mixed acrylic and collage technique.

Contemporary portraits of large dimensions where the simplification close to comics reminds us of Corto Maltese, the hero of Hugo Prat, but above all, an artistic expression in the layout in line with the art of the 21st century.

When we approach the canvas, open, dynamic, determined looks come to meet us; they carry the thought, the whole of the story. By approaching the atmosphere changes to give way to delicacy and sensuality, to the intimate. The two make a whole and this whole opens a door towards oneself.

A real thread brings together all his paintings as if to say we are together to tell a collective story and individual stories where the real and the imaginary mingle in close proximity.

Painting exists in the way we look at it, in the thoughts it arouses, in the emotions it creates, so for this moment: Thank you.
