LUCE is a Belgian-born contemporary artist whose career has spanned several decades and countries. In 1975, she moved to Paris, where she worked in renowned studios, honing her skills in various forms of visual arts. Since 2006, she has divided her time between London and Paris, creating works that have been showcased in exhibitions worldwide.
LUCE’s artwork is held in prestigious private and public collections across the globe. Notable institutions that house her pieces include the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the University of Arkansas in the U.S., York in England, the Bibliothèque Nationale Royale Albert I in Brussels, and the National Library of France (BNF) in Paris. Her works are also featured in various international collections, including the Van Abbemuseum in the Netherlands, the Douro Biennial Print Collection in Portugal, the National Library of Iraq in Baghdad, the Frans Masereel Center in Belgium, and several museums in China, Japan, Bulgaria, Armenia, Ukraine, and more.
LUCE has been widely published throughout her career. Her notable publications include ACTUEL N°19 (2020), LUCE “Dans les Silences…” (2019), and La Gravure Contemporaine (1996). She has also contributed to magazines such as STROOM, and her work was included in a postcard edition for the XXIV Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988. Additionally, her artistic achievements have been recognized in various biographical dictionaries of artists from Belgium and beyond.
