It is a Dialogue with nature. In this case: a mountain that I have never encountered, but invented, desired, imagined. Climate change worries me. I pay homage to this nature that I respect and that I need to live.
This meeting is spiritual hence the title DIALOGUE.
I made this engraving in a private studio in Paris. The technique used is carborundum, then a bit of cradle (mezzotint) and drypoint. Carborundum is difficult to manage. I work layer by layer according to what the aluminum plate tells me to do, suggests to me, according to the possibilities. It is also difficult to work on an aluminum plate. When it's done it's done. Little return possible.
