Luc Tessier est né à Drummondville, en 1960. Artiste multidisciplinaire, ce peintre autodidacte est aussi photographe et musicien de formation. En 1981, suite à l'obtention d'un DEC en musique professionnelle (guitare classique et guitariste, bassiste et programmeur de claviers pour un groupe rock progressif nommé EQ. Ce dernier remporte la 3e place lors du concours «L'Empire des Futures Stars» organisé par CKOI-FM, en 1988. En 2007, son voyage en Équateur et aux Îles Galapagos avive son désir de partager sa vision de la beauté de ces pays par la photographie. Il s'en suit la présentation de quelques expositions individuelles intitulée "Souvenirs d'Équateur". C'est en 2011, à la croisée de deux chemins, le décès de son conjoint et la découverte des peintres Sylvain Coulombe et Dominic Besner, qu'il est bousculé par sa voix intérieure. Il se lance en peinture. Depuis ce temps, il laisse une place importante à la création ; «Ce qui m'intéresse dans l'art c'est la recherche, c'est l'expression des sentiments et des émotions, conscients et inconscients, par les couleurs et le mouvement». En 2016, il explore avec enthousiasme un nouveau médium, le lenticulaire 3D.

Luc Tessier was born in Drummondville in 1960. A multidisciplinary artist and self-taught painter, he is also a photographer and a trained musician. He was always attracted to the visual arts from an early age, and began taking plastic arts classes age five. As the years passed, art began to play a role in his life in many different ways. In 1981, after earning a college diploma in professional music (classic and popular guitar), Luc started performing before becoming a writer, singer, guitarist, bass player, and keyboard programmer for a progressive alternative rock group by the name of EQ. The group finished third in a competition for stars of the future organized by radio station CKOI-FM in 1988. In 2007, a trip to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands left him with the urge to share his vision of these beautiful countries through photography. A number of solo exhibits followed, featuring his memories of Ecuador: Souvenirs d’Équateur. It was 2011. Luc was at a crossroads in his life. His partner had died and he had discovered two artists, Sylvain Coulombe and Dominic Besner. He decided to listen to the little voice within and become a painter. Ever since, Luc has placed a lot of importance on the creative process. “What interests me about art is the research that goes into it, expressing feelings through colour, the movement—it’s all about the pleasure and satisfaction we get out of the process.” In 2016, he enthuastically explores a new medium, the 3D lenticular.
