(The Chinese National Art Exhibition, which is held every five years and sponsored by Chinese Culture Ministry and Chinese Artist's Association, is the largest, the most authoritative and academic art exhibition of China.)

PRISTINE FOG AT DAWN ON THE BORDER, Entered in the National Youth Art Exhibition in Beijing, Sponsored by the International Youth Festival Committee of the United Nations.

CLEAR SPRING FLOWING OVER A ROCK, Entered in the First Exhibition of the Modern Elaborate Style Painting Association in Beijing. Sponsored by the Chinese Artists Association, The Institute of Chinese Painting, and the Modern Elaborate Style Paining Association. Awarded the prize of the Golden Fork.

BUTTERFLY DREAMLAND, Awarded the Third Prize in the WHAT BEAUTIFUL CHINA, LOVE MY CHINA, Exhibition of National popular Science Art, Sponsored by the Chinese Artists Association.
FRESHWATER SPRING AND ROCK IN A SECLUDED WOOD, painting toured in the Modern China's Art Exhibition in several main cities of Japan, 1990. Sponsored by the Chinese Artists Association, Sino-Japan Friendship Association and Japan-China Friendship Guild Hall. It was exhibited in the EXHIBITION OF AUTUMN SALON in France and was published in the CHINESE MODERN ART. Also it was published in the 1990 wall Calendar in H.K..

1985年国画《疆界晓雾清》入选联合国国际青年年主办的前进中的中国青年美展。
国画《花与竹楼》、《月光曲》入选美国世界艺术节美展。
1986年国画《争艳》、《版纳情》入选香港中国现代工笔画展，收入《现代中国画》
香港出版。国画《龙牙花》、《月照粉影娇》入选美国中国工笔画展，收入《中 笔重彩画选》美国出版。
1988年国画《凉月照蝶花》等十幅作品参加中国美协主办的花与鸟－八人画展。
国画《雨林春》等四幅作品参加中国美协主办的新人新作展。
国画《版纳春晓》入选中国美协主办的中华杯中国画大 奖赛荣获佳作奖。

国画《幽林泉石》由中国美协选送日本现代中国美术巡回展和法国秋季沙龙画展、收入画集《现代中国美术》日本出版；国画《春艳图》等四幅作品由中国美协选送美国现代中国画新作展、收入画集《现代中国画新作》美国出版。国画《寒林声谡谡》等六幅作品由中国美协选送香港第七届全国美展中国画获奖作者新作展，收入画集《中国画新作》香港出版。
1991年国画《雪里山茶》入选中国美协等主办的中国当代工笔画二届大展。
国画《春月》等三幅作品参加在日本举办的中国美术馆藏现代画家作品展，收入画集《现代中国绘画》日本出版。
1992年国画《密林芳春》人选中国第三届艺术节美展，收入第三届艺术节美术作品集。
国画《泉鸣幽谷》入选中国美协主办的全国首届中国花鸟画展，收入该展画集。
1994年国画《春月溶溶》人选第八届全国美术作品展览。
1997年国画《十分秋色》及《荷香十里赋》入选中国文联主办的’97中国画坛百杰作

1991年6月在北京中央美院画廊举行，10月昆明金龙画廊举行。
1992年香港荣宝斋画廊举行。
1994年澳大利亚戈登画廊举行。
1995年“东西方系列个人画展”之东方展于8月应邀在泰国曼谷世界著名五星级饭店
东方宾馆隆重举行，由泰国皇储亲王剪彩；9月应邀在曼谷珠宝贸易中心举行。
“东西方系列个人画展”之西方展于10月5日应苏格兰中国友好协会邀请，在苏格兰最大城市格拉斯哥国立美术博物馆隆重举行刘怡涛东西方系列画展之西方展，由格拉斯哥市市长、苏中友协会长、主席、亲临揭幕；10月25日应邀在英国首都伦敦举行，中国驻英大使馆大使及苏中友协会长、主席、亲临揭幕。
1996年8月在英国爱丁堡国际艺术节期间，在爱丁堡皇家公园展览厅举行；10月在马
来西亚槟城滨那士文化中心举行；在马来西亚首都吉隆坡御苑饭店举行。
1997年2月在四川欧洲营地国际俱乐部举行，6月在英国格拉斯哥国立美术博物馆。
1998年于美国南海艺术中心、英国格拉斯哥皇家歌剧院。
1999年3月在中国美术家协会苏州创作中心。
1999年10月上旬在马来西亚吉隆坡丽晶酒店、10月下旬在槟城滨那士文化中心举办
