Linda Boersma & Boudewijn Mensingh are professional photographers. They started working together at the end of 2020. Linda trained at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and Boudewijn studied photography at the Harrow School of Photography in London.

They are inspired by the process of creating the new. In their case the creation of a new image. While experimenting, they discovered that photos can complement and reinforce each other. From that idea emerged a process that is central to their work.

They don't use their photos to record anything. Instead, they use them as the building blocks of a bigger, new picture. Syntheses arise, just as sounds form words and atoms come together into molecules. From this a unique visual language has developed.

The individual photos remain unchanged. They don't use effects. They are recognizable images that represent tangible things. The result is a construction based on figurative elements. It has its own reality. It is a representation of itself.

Linda Boersma & Boudewijn Mensingh live in Amsterdam (Netherlands).
