Leonie Jarlan was born in 1994 in Athens, Greece, from a composer father and an archaeologist mother. They moved to Paris in 1996, where she grew up. She studied drawing then Graphic Arts at ESAG Penninghen, before deciding to pursue an artistic career as a painter in order to meet her need to transcribe her emotions through her paintings, between sky and earth. Mixing imaginary worlds in the form of maps with metallic hues and pointillism, she creates works which, once revealed to the light, demonstrate different aspects of the world at unique moments, such as continually changing landscapes, according to the lights of the sun and the moon.
