Laurence comes from an artist family: her great uncle was a painter, her grandfather and father perform occasionally as movie actors, her grandmother was a singer and her aunt is teaching theater and vocal.
She tried to escape and became a civil engineer….in vain !:)
Two special events revealed Laurence’s passion for painting:
- At the age of 25, discovering Mozambique and its incredible light and red earth;
- 10 years later, finding stunning colorful watercolor squares in an old art shop in Saint Petersburg.
She enhanced her skills with a copyist from Le Louvre who initiated her to glazing ; she then follows the Beaux Arts classes.
After 10 years of practice and learning she finally held her first painting exhibition in Gentilly, France in 2013, then in Paris, Arromanches, Chinon , Saint Maixent...
Member of The International Painters Community, she has been participating to several on line exhibitions in Nigeria, India…
Laurence draws her inspiration from her passion of travelling all over the world with her sketchpad, capturing moments of life, lights and colors.
Laurence invites you to travel and discover through her paintings:
Mozambique and more specifically Ilha de Moçambique, India, Cambodia, Colombia, Quebec, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Maldives, Polynesian Islands, Thailand, Australia, China, Malaysia, Estonia, New York, Sevilla, London, Paris...
