My bill

I work on the crest line of the rainbow, between lightness and weightlessness. Citizen of the world, I inhabit my planet with a keen awareness, I seek balance, and I constantly experience it through the different forms of my art: relief paintings and sculptures. They are delicate and resistant, because they are made of paper stretched and mounted on a support, textured by prints, and painted with colored inks. They are made with biosourced materials. "Crossed by life", I seek to express my emotions, intuitions, engines of my thought.

My reflection

Josette Coras (20th century), Auguste Pointelin (19th century), two Jura residents, impressed me and reassured me in the idea that the invisible links that we have with nature and our environment are much more important and that we cannot imagine it. We are connected. I have deep admiration for cutting-edge advances in different fields (scientific, political, sociological, etc.). On the other hand, I remain convinced that there is a glaring asymmetry on the 'other side of the axis': that of the work that humans must undertake on the ground of humility and respect... Art allows me to invest myself in this mission by animating materials and colors. They intertwine with the unpainted void, in the quest for osmosis. The paintings are irrigated by the breath in a fragile swing.

The roots of my creation

The first step in my journey is my training at the ISBA in Besançon (Doubs ) in 1982. Solar era with attendance at the sculpture workshops of Jacques Voitot and Jean Gilles, and the painting course of the demanding and profound Jean Ricardon, of engravings by Georges Oudot…

In this quest of meaning, I extended my reflection by continuing at Paris Sorbonne in the Plastic Arts section. A period nourishing rich projects and “Christo-style” installations in the classroom in Paris...

The creative tree structure in progress

The artists of lyrical abstraction, impressionism, conceptualism and especially the masters of China and Japan, constantly nourish my work.

My artistic journey (accomplishments):

ISBA (School of Fine Arts of Besançon/ UFR of Besançon History of Art and Archeology/ Master II Plastic Arts Paris Sorbonne.
