Biography
Laetitia Lesaffre is a painter and photographer whose quest for light and reflection gives meaning to her work. For her, contrasts and intense monochromes are the means to explore this connection with the play of light, shadows and reflections that animate her works.
In order to go beyond this endless quest and explore unexplored territories, Laetitia cultivates contrasts, opposing smooth to rough, liquid to mineral. It is precisely from this clash between materials that a three-dimensional reflection emerges, capturing the viewer's attention and inviting them to dive into a rich and dynamic visual universe.
Born from the lacquer technique, the reflection reveals changes in surrounding light, creating a subtle interaction between the canvas, the ambient light and the viewer. Laetitia invites the viewer to contemplate their own reflection in the work, thus offering an immersive artistic experience where the painting becomes the reflection of a moving self-portrait.
His work transcends the boundaries between reality and imagination, inviting everyone to explore the multiple dimensions of his art.
