On the portrait is skillfully depicted worried girl in a pink dress that firmly binds her favorite toy - a soft, white rabbit with long ears, as if protecting it from something. The girl's head is like a crown of thick hair, braided in two braids, decorated with bright pink bows at the ends. The picture is made on thick tinted paper, skillful technique - fusain, pastel and watercolor with whitewash. Artwork of extraordinary expressiveness. The face of the model is contrastingly lit, vibrating tone reproduces mixed baby feelings. The anxiety of the unknown and definite native childish view makes this artwork unique with care and compassion. The use of charcoal’s rich black color makes the picture very alive. Artist skillfully draws hands of a girl hugging a toy. Charcoal

Drawing made with a branch of Willow or charcoal of charred Europe. It enables to obtain very deep blacks, precise traces, thin or on the contrary very broad, depending on the way it is used.

Gouache

The substances are diluted with water and rendered pasty and opaque by the addition of gum and honey. The colors become opaque and can, therefore, be superimposed, which makes one paint with gouache as with oil. The gouache is recommended by its bright, fresh and delicate tones.

Pastel

Drawing made with a colored stick. It consists of pigments, a charge and a binder. A distinction is made between dry pastels (soft or hard) and fatty pastels (oil or wax).
