My daughter has a favorite toy — white cat with a fluffy tail. They often read books together, sitting comfortably on the bed, leaning on the pillow. Reading is her favorite activity, and I often read some interesting adventure stories or fairy tales at night for my daughter, it’s our family tradition. "A word about the journey of Odysseus, the wise man of Ithaca" the epic retelling by Homer captivated our imagination during long winter evenings. I was absorbed by the grace of a little girl who was carefully immersed in the book, reading keenly and undistracted. I used the possibilities of sanguine and pastel, traditional drawing material, and dense paper with a peculiar texture. An interesting book is a nice way to keep a child in one place for some time as a little model. A little girl in a summer dress, hugging a toy, is reading a book. The girl’s hands holding the book are skillfully drawn. A drawing with a pastel and a sanguine with coal on paper has a nice texture, easy to execute, the pleats of her pink dress and white fur of a cat are depicted perfectly well. The drawing has coziness and warmth of a home, where there are lots of pleasant troubles and worries, where the silence comes only when everyone is asleep in the house…

Drawing is a technique of visual representation on a flat support. The term "drawing" designates both the action of drawing, the resulting graphic work, and the shape of any object.
