The artist portrayed the girl reading a book using sanguine and pastel masterfully. The young model lies comfortably, shakes carelessly her feet, being immersed into the reading. There is a clear feeling of summertime when you can relax, and spend time on your favorite pastime. A girl in a summer pink dress, which fits with pleats on her delicate figure, is concentrated in reading, flipping pages with a big interest, following enthusiastically the development of the story. The artwork is made of sanguine and elements of pastel on a tinted paper. Sanguine is a traditional painting material known since the Renaissance. A lot of famous artists of that time preferred sanguine as a wonderful material for painting and drawing.

Pastel

Technic Drawing
