Installation ANTS: Nature expands!

In 2010 Cosé Manzano created the first ants installation NATURE EXPANDS as a statement to global warming. The ants stand for the only survivors in whatever circumstances. In his art work Cosé lets them grow and gives them larger proportions.

THE PRICE IS FOR AN INSTALLATION OF FOUR (4) ANTS, if you want a larger number please ask for a quote.

The dimensions of the whole installation will depend on your space and your composition.
Approx. measures of one Ant: L 80 x W 68 x H 50 cm (L 31 1/2 '', W 26 3/4 '', H 19 3/4 '')
An ant body without the paws is 44 cm long (17 1/4 '')
The ants are meant to be mounted to the wall or ceiling but even flat on the ground they're great.
A single ant is an artwork for itself for its beautiful balance of line and volume, but the artwork gets really powerful as a group.

They're suitable indoors and outdoors. They can stand even humid climates as they're made of Corten steel. Corten steel has a rusty look but the rust is only on the surface and will never go deeper.

These are approximate dimensions: Although the steel parts all have the same rational dimensions, the precise size of the ant varies depending on stretching the paws or bending them tighter (wider paws means lower and narrower means higher).

The installation will come dated and signed and will bear the name of the art work and words related to Global Warming
