Originally, I wanted to make a picture about the Sandman. This is a mythical figure from Western and Northern European folklore who puts people to sleep and inspires them to have beautiful dreams by sprinkling magical sand on their eyes. While researching this figure, I came across the Oneiroi, figures from Greek mythology.

The Oneiroi are the embodiment of dreams or dreaming in Greek mythology.

They are the children of Hypnos (the personification of sleep) or Nyx (the personification of night). They lived near one of the entrances to the underworld.

The image is inspired by these figures from folklore and mythology and an attempt to transport them to our modern, digital world.

All images were completely created on the computer.
To convert them into the analog world they are printed on fine art paper with pigmented inks.

For the 15.75 x 32.91 inch (Has a white border with matte finish on each side) edition, there will be a limited edition of only 8 copies of "The Oneiroi". Once all 8 prints in this size are sold out, there will be no further prints of "The Oneiroi" in the 15.75 inch height by 32.91 inch width size.

The edition is printed on a 300+ gram, natural white, acid-free, museum-quality paper with a matte, soft grained texture.
The mixture of this paper and the pigmented inks guarantee a high protection against UV radiation and a great durability of the image.

Each image of the edition has a consecutive numbering on the back and is signed by hand.
