Kim Shaw studied art and humanities: religion and philosophy at BA level.
Viewing art from differing perspectives, she enjoys experimenting with a variety of media. Developments in her work include the use of textiles and design based on natural forms; and further developments using abstract forms.
Her paintings, she feels, are an attempt to capture the salient essence of things as experienced: images that evoke a mood. This exercise challenges resources and practical knowledge of the use of colour and shade.
