KB masterpieces are one-off creations made by me, Sandman, myself. And usually, there is a story to it. I probably got my love for gemstones from my parents. KB masterpieces are one-off creations made by me, Sandman, myself. And usually, there is a story to it.

I probably got my love for gemstones from my parents. An uncle was a jeweler, and so it happened that on various occasions, I saw our mother's amazement when she opened a box that our father gave her. He looked very proud. I knew emerald, ruby and sapphire even as a little boy. When I could afford it, I started collecting gemstones myself. Selected pieces can be found throughout our house.
At one point, a gem dealer told me he could get ground gemstones. That was in the 90s. I was given samples to test. However, the costs were too high for my standard range, so the project fizzled until Kumiko asked me if gems would be possible in KB masterpieces.
There are now three series with genuine ground gemstones.
Geo are the round murals. In this sand picture, I mixed ruby and malachite with other types of sand and then used northern lights as a background image—a magnificent, colorful combination.
I can offer all birthstones and some more. I have everything in stock. Particularly beautiful: turquoise, amethyst, ruby, garnet, black tourmaline - I even have red coral. Just ask for your favorite stone. I can do it.

Some stones lose their typical color when they are ground. They still make sense in a sand picture for therapeutic purposes or as a good luck charm.
Movement and change are the essential content of all life.
