The artwork "Silence" was created after the evacuation from Ukraine in the first days of spring. On the way to the Polish border, I drove past endless fields, and beautiful hills, where the first grasses were beginning to wake up. I saw the silence and beauty of nature, it was still sleeping: huge forests were visible on the horizon, the land was still unplowed, black and immeasurable. The most fertile chernozems... the most fertile soils in the world...
Only in the air, from afar, was the sound of airplanes, sirens and explosions.
The picture is made on high-quality canvas and covered with varnish.
I USE ONLY HIGH-QUALITY PAINT WITH LIGHT-RESISTANT PIGMENTS. AND ALL PAINTINGS ARE COVERED WITH ACRYLIC VARNISH. YOU CAN BE SURE THAT COLORS WILL BE THE SAME VERY LONG PERIOD OF TIME. NOT REQUIRE A FRAME AS THE ENDS ARE PAINTED BLACK .
Artwork is ready to hang.
Materials used:
canvas, acrylic paint and acrylic varnish

Kateryna Solodka, a contemporary painter born in Ukraine and currently living and working in the Netherlands, is known for her exquisite floral abstract artworks. Graduating from the Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts in Kyiv in 2012, Solodka found her passion for abstract art, viewing it as a realm of boundless creativity, brimming with vibrant colors and blossoms.
Flowers and beautiful gardens serve as the primary subjects of Solodka's work, inspired by their unparalleled aesthetic allure. For her, few things rival the beauty of flowers and their kaleidoscopic hues. Employing her original painting technique, Solodka employs a palette knife to create texture and volume, while expressive splatter strokes infuse her pieces with a sense of movement and vitality. Rather than merely depicting flowers, Solodka strives to evoke the essence and emotion of her subjects, aiming to capture the very fragrance of flowers on canvas.
Drawing inspiration from the emotions and impressions stirred by the natural world, Solodka translates these experiences into expressive colors on her canvases. In her view, art holds significant importance in tumultuous times, offering solace and aesthetic pleasure to those who encounter it. With a desire to spread beauty and joy, Solodka shares her blooming paintings with the world, infusing lives with vibrant colors and vitality.
Solodka finds immense joy in painting large canvases, where she can dynamically convey expression, play with light and depth, and evoke the mood of her compositions through bold brushstrokes and sweeping movements. Through her art, Kateryna Solodka invites viewers to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and experience the transformative power of art.
