Kamba Mukeke, a contemporary painter hailing from Mali, was born on November 25, 1960, in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire). His artistic journey commenced at the tender age of 12, where he began to immerse himself in the world of art. In 1978, he successfully completed his secondary course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lubumbashi, Kananga.
In 1983, after a brief stint at the Higher Institute of Applied Sciences in Kinshasa, Kamba's artistic trajectory intersected with that of Rita Godin, a Quebec and Canadian painter known for her multidisciplinary and multimedia art at the Rita Godin Art Studio in Aumond, Quebec, Canada. Under her guidance, Kamba expanded his artistic skills, delving into drawing, painting, watercolor, pastel, and mixed media. This comprehensive training led to him obtaining a diploma in art.
Kamba Mukeke's artistic endeavors have been showcased through numerous exhibitions in Africa and beyond. Notably, he has been featured at The Gallery of African Art in Washington, United States, and has actively participated in significant international exhibitions, including the one in Angers, France.
