José Luis Madrazo Gastaudi, born on March 14, 1952, in Aranda de Duero (Burgos), is a Spanish artist who has been passionate about drawing since childhood. He spent his early years in Zaragoza, where he participated in art competitions and won several prizes between 1956 and 1972. Alongside his high school studies at the Goya Institute, he attended the School of Arts and Artistic Crafts, where he focused on drawing plaster models for three years.

In 1972, Madrazo moved to Barcelona to fulfill his military service at the Bruch Barracks in Pedralbes. During this time, he frequently visited the San Jorge Faculty of Fine Arts, where he continued his studies and interacted with fellow artists, including his classmate Barceló. He immersed himself in the local art scene, attending numerous exhibitions and learning classical engraving under Professor Badía at the Massana School.

In 1986, Madrazo relocated to Seville, where he continued to participate in exhibitions and competitions. He also earned a degree in Geography and History with a specialization in Art History. During this period, he further honed his engraving skills at the Antonio Saura Engraving School in Fuendetodos (Zaragoza). He has exhibited his work in both group and solo exhibitions, with his most recent exhibition held in Burgos. José Luis Madrazo currently lives and works in Seville, continuing his artistic practice.
