The canvas is filled with a dynamic mix of colors, predominantly warm tones such as yellows, oranges, and reds, complemented by cooler blues and whites. These colors are applied in broad, sweeping brushstrokes, creating a sense of movement and energy throughout the piece. The interplay of colors gives the painting a lively, almost pulsating quality, as if the forms within it are in constant flux.
At the center of the composition, there appears to be a stylized figure, possibly a representation of "Sra dos Remédios" (Our Lady of Remedies), a title often associated with a figure of healing and protection. The figure is abstracted, with flowing lines and overlapping shapes that suggest a human form without clearly defining it. Joana Antunes, nascida a 14 de março de 1979 em Amarante, reside atualmente em Felgueiras. Desde jovem, foi exposta ao mundo das artes, particularmente através do desenho, pintura e cerâmica, o que influenciou a sua decisão de seguir uma carreira nas artes visuais. Nos anos 90, participou em circuitos artísticos regionais, onde as suas obras começaram a ser exibidas e adquiridas por colecionadores privados. Com o tempo, Joana ganhou reconhecimento, e as suas exposições começaram a ganhar mais destaque, tanto em mostras coletivas ao lado de grandes artistas nacionais e internacionais, como em exposições individuais por todo o Portugal. O talento de Joana ultrapassou as fronteiras de Portugal, tendo sido incluída em várias exposições coletivas em galerias de arte em Roma. Além de Itália, a artista tem consolidado a sua presença em França e Inglaterra, países onde tem desenvolvido e apresentado o seu trabalho nos últimos anos.
