Lors de mon séjour au Népal (un des pays les plus pauvres du monde) j’ai pu découvrir un peuple qui, malgré l’adversité, fait front pour garder sa dignité et maintient intacte la possibilité d’une vie meilleure pour ses enfants.

Jean-Marc Augereau, artist photographer, found in the practice of photography a way of apprehending the world which surrounds him. It was when he was leading a workshop with children in a leisure center that he began to take an interest in this art. Quickly, photography became his passion.
After studying at the Société Française de Photographie, Jean-Marc moved to a studio in Paris where he worked for many years in collaboration with the publishing industry. While pursuing this activity, he maintained his interest in reportage and documentary photography, particularly during his travels through Europe, Africa and now Asia.
The camera is for him both a receiver and a means of communication. He captures his emotions and thoughts, sharing them with the world. By meeting others and creating bridges between communities, Jean-Marc sees photography as a social attitude, a spiritual quest that goes beyond the simple fact of communicating.
Jean-Marc Augereau lives and works in Montauban. Born in 1963, he continues to explore the power of photography as a tool for expression and connection with others. His artistic approach is part of a desire to capture the essence of reality and to transmit deep messages through his images.
