Jean-Claude Bise is a photographer based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, where he lives and works. His artistic work focuses on raising awareness about the survival of our planet. Through his photo-montages, he highlights the multiple facets of pollution, seas, lands, forests and cities, creating compositions that reflect contemporary environmental chaos.
His series, such as "Imagine", explore the mental construction of an ideal landscape where man hopes to find habitable worlds. Under the title "Abstraction - Variations", he experiments with different approaches to create abstract images, ranging from digital filters to previously developed compositions.
In his series "Illusions", Jean-Claude Bise plays with unreal symmetries, converging lines and fictional perspectives to create visually improbable spaces, thus capturing the viewer's attention and taking them on a journey into the imagination.
His work has been exhibited in prestigious places around the world, notably during the Nancy Biennale, as well as in several international photography festivals.
