Jean-Claude Nicolai alias Ialokinne is an ACTIVE fighter for a minimum of human justice between the “rich” and the scandalously deprived young girls. Executive Director of the Nicolai Art Humaniste Private Foundation painter and photographer
His paintings are mostly imaginary creations that take into account his aspirations to enjoy life simply in the beauty of nature, to be happy while trying to make others happy, to be interested only in the essentials and therefore very little to "hardware".
My style is often described as a "color storm". He expresses an extremely powerful, frontal, violent vision of the world and of "human civilizations". His work is mainly based on "post-Fauvism" and on "lyrical abstraction" and on photography.
This productive and very precise artist establishes direct contact between his artistic reflections and a canvas – often monumental – or a blank sheet of paper – in large format! – without sinking into pure abstraction or bothering with laborious narrative, explanatory detours , demonstrative,…. Painter and a photographer (alternative photo processes). His painting and his work correspond to a large contemporary and abstract painting. He considers himself a painter but also a storyteller whether he paints on canvas or works in ink on paper.
