Elève de François Legrand pour laquelle elle voue une admiration sincère, Isabelle a suivi ses cours et s’est formée à l’exercice du portrait à l’huile. En prenant des libertés avec le sujet elle s’est éloigné de la figuration pour exprimer la poésie des accidents et la liberté que donne le dérapage de la matière. Son propos consiste à accentuer la trace afin d’en suggérer la matière poétique qui nous échappe au premier regard.
