I aim to bring forth feelings of happiness and positive energy with my colourful watercolour paintings inspired by nature. I paint what I see and see the natural world around me as an extension of my inner self. As a visually impaired artist, caused by a condition called blepharospasm, my latest paintings focus more on colour harmonies and overall feel of the subject rather than details. After two years of hopelessness I managed to get back into painting and I found great comfort in doing so. Although I had many years of art education both in my native Hungary and here in the UK, I am a self-taught watercolorist.

As I begin applying the first layers of watercolour paint onto the paper quite freely, I go on a journey of emotions often evoked by childhood memories of my inseparable bond with nature. Never knowing exactly how the final painting will turn out I travel through my thoughts while defining the tones until I achieve a pleasing visual effect. I aim to trigger the viewer's emotional response in order to connect him/her to the subject, be it landscape, wildlife, botanical or still life.
