Biography of Hui Zhang
I was born in 1971 and has been an artist for more than 30 years now. I took an interest in fine art at an early age. I was graduated from Department of Fine Arts, Northeast Normal University and an currently an associate professor at Jilin Academy of Fine Arts. I am most known for my acrylic paintings and photographs. Inspired by traditional chinese ancient landscape paintings, I try to create a magical and surrealistic personal visual experience in the fantastic landscape of the mountains and river and establish a kind of lying “post-landscape" era. Viewers can immediately within the landscape by viewing my paintings. My works exhibit a unique and grandiose view of mountain empire and have been part of numerous museum and gallery exhibitions around the world, including shows such as Beijing Songzhuang Hongwan Art Museum and Wall Art Museum.
