Born in Verdun on April 8, 1972, Hugues Husson currently lives and paints in Montaigu-de-Quercy where he has set up his studio since September 2020.
He mainly produces landscape oil paintings, realistic and even naturalistic. Sensitivity to nature is in any case omnipresent.
The goal of his work is to reveal the beauty of our world, which can be hidden next to us as well as in exotic places. To concentrate these very specific points of view, the framing is often very tight and the dimensions of the canvases are sometimes substantial. The visual impact is sought thanks to the scale ratio and the frontality of the objects represented. The encounter between the subject and the spectator is then a face-to-face.
