Homayoun Hayati was born in Zahedan, Iran.
Firstly, he got interested in music, but for some reasons could not continue it. And then , when he was working as a topographer in villages of Sistan and Baloochestan, he got inspired by the culture and nature of those areas. This was the time he started writing some poems and drawing some portraits. At the end of this job, he decided to move to Tehran to study music and improve his skills in Table tennis.
Without any decision to pursue art as a career, he was accepted in Painting Study in Soore university. In the first year of his studies in painting, gradually he understood that painting can be an appropriate alternative for his interests in music and sport.
Gradually, with the guidance of professors Habib Rezaei and Yaghoub, the subject of drawing and painting, and the study of colors and forms of nature became more serious for him.
This is the result of studies, continuous presence in nature and the formation of a collection of nature paintings that continues to this day.
It was during these years that the paintings, which fluctuated between abstract and figurative spaces at the same time, became a visual issue for him, and he followed the theme of collage to fabric to pursue and expand that theme.
These experiences themselves became a collection of collages and also coincided with his acquaintance with Professor Dariush Hosseini, and his encouragement to pursue these works as seriously as possible, a path that is still going on.
