Hanspeter Ott is an artist photographer born in Winterthur, Switzerland, and raised in the countryside. After completing an apprenticeship as a mechanic, he started a family. He has always been in search of the true meaning of existence.

In 2016, Hanspeter Ott started practicing professional photography and found his passion. He is particularly attracted to the photography of people, which leads him to deepen his understanding of authentic life. Through different subjects such as societal issues, religions and socially critical themes, he tries to represent the human aspect. He also embarks on the complex search for aesthetic simplicity and timeless beauty in his images.

He is fascinated by the Baroque era with its opulent clothing, interiors and craftsmanship. For him, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio is a model in terms of "painting with light and shadow". The way he condenses and emotionally represents the subjects in his paintings is unique to him. Among famous nude photographers, he finds inspiration in Andreas A. Bitesnich, Tina Trumpp and Marc Lagrange, who capture pure human forms and life itself. Richard Avedon, one of the first fashion photographers, is also a role model for him, having brought many innovations and new ideas into fashion photography.

Hanspeter Ott is a photographer who strives to create images that tell a story and reflect the complexity and beauty of humanity. He constantly seeks to broaden his artistic horizons and draw inspiration from the masters of the past, while bringing his own unique vision through his photographic work.
