GREGORIO GUMINA Born in Rome in 1955, he currently lives and works both in Rome and CARSOLI( AQ). He graduated at the State School of Arts I° Liceo Artistico of Rome in 1976, and was a student of Nino Cordio, Enrico Gaudenzi and Giuseppe Niglia; he later attended the Scuola Libera del nudo ( nude school) at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome. Both an artist and a cultural operator, he promoted and organized numerous initiatives of artistic-political and cultural content, both in Italy and in France, where livered several years. He has taken part to many group and solo exhibitions. He also published an engraving folder whit critics by Jean Paul Sartre, a book of poems presented by a poet Dario Bellezza and an Art Book whit introduction by Tullio Catalano. At the end oh the 1980's Gumina became one of the protagonists of the Roman current of post-conceptual artist referring to masters such as MAURI, KOUNELLIS, PISTOLETTO, PAOLINI, CATALANO, BARUCHELLO. He also joined other contemporary artistic movements and is a founder and promoter of Gruppo Mediterraneo, of Sindacato Nazionale Artisti of L'Aquila and of Coordinamento Autori Visivi of Lazio.
