Goian Dorin uses photography as a way to explore, investigate, and document the culture and people in the cities he lived in. He was born and raised in the former USSR in Moldova and studied economics at the Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies. In his works, Dorin expresses his creative vision of the world, and his senses towards the compositional elements of his images: the environment, the people and all the living beings. In 2006 Dorin traveled to Montreal, Canada, to take up photography and then onward to Ontario where he pursued photojournalism studies. In 2009, Dorin attended the Magnun Workshop at Contact Photo Festival in Toronto and in 2011 he was a selected participant at Noor Nikon Masterclass in Documentary Photography in Bucharest. Dorin has since returned to Moldova and is working on a long-term project about difficult economical situation of Moldova and its effects on it´s population. He is a citizen of Moldova and Canada and lives between Chisinau and Montreal.

Goian nutzt die Fotografie, um die Kultur und die Menschen in den Städten, in denen er lebte, zu erforschen, zu untersuchen und zu dokumentieren. Er ist in der ehemaligen UdSSR in Moldawien geboren und aufgewachsen und studierte Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies. In seinen Werken drückt Dorin seine kreative Vision der Welt und seine Sinne für die kompositorischen Elemente seiner Bilder aus: die Umwelt, die Menschen und alle Lebewesen. 2006 reiste Dorin nach Montreal, Kanada, um mit der Fotografie zu beginnen, und dann weiter nach Ontario, wo er Fotojournalismus studierte. 2009 nahm Dorin am Magnun Workshop beim Contact Photo Festival in Toronto teil und 2011 war er ausgewählter Teilnehmer der Noor Nikon Masterclass für Dokumentarfotografie in Bukarest. Inzwischen ist Dorin nach Moldawien zurückgekehrt und arbeitet an einem Langzeitprojekt über die schwierige wirtschaftliche Lage Moldawiens und deren Auswirkungen auf die Bevölkerung. Er ist Staatsbürger von Moldawien und Kanada und lebt zwischen Chisinau und Montreal.
