Scene in a New York apartment. It's Sunday and obviously a couple is a little bored ... The man is sleeping in an armchair while his wife, accompanied by the house cat, watches to pass the time New York and its skyscrapers, including the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. But this urban environment, seen from a relatively high floor, is empty, as is the apartment, which is sparsely furnished. It is boredom and silent isolation in a generally bustling and resourceful city. We attend the scene but are we in the real or in the theater? This work is part of the series "Wandering. New York. American Dream" and was conceived just after the work entitled "Breakfast at Tiffany's", by Truman Capote, with at least one of the protagonists, the Cat.
