Ghyslaine Leonelli is a contemporary award-winning French artist. Leonelli’s style is very assertive and characteristic, her paintings and sculptures are at the same time energetic, instinctive, instantaneous, giving an important place to gestures, movement and a certain rhythm, but also a great sensitivity, based on a permanent spiritual quest, on the search for emotion, wonder and reflection.

Acrylic, felt-tip pens (molotow and poska), and ballpoint pens are her preferred mediums for paintings and drawings, and varied techniques and materials for sculptures depending on the rendering of the work she wants: papier mâché, terracotta, resin, bronze, and cement. In her art emotions are essential, they are the engine of paintings and sculptures; permanent doubt guides her to find the subject that best translates her emotions, her feelings, all in an elaboration of curves, geometric shapes.
