Le tableau, réalisé aux couteaux et pinceaux, offre une vue magnifique sur un village typique de la région. Les couleurs chaudes de l'ocre et du rouge dominent la toile, reflétant la lumière vibrante de la Provence.
Comme tous les tableaux de Georges Coulomb, celui-ci est retranscrit à partir de souvenirs. L'artiste utilise ses propres souvenirs de la région pour créer des toiles qui capturent l'essence de la Provence. Cette huile sur toile est ainsi le fruit de la mémoire de l'artiste, qui a su retranscrire avec talent les couleurs et l'atmosphère de Roussillon.

GEORGES COULOMB was born in 1947 in Port-de-Bouc in Provence where he still lives. Self-taught, sculptor at his artistic beginnings, he started to paint in 1970. Georges Coulomb is a contemporary expressionist figurative artist. He became an ambassador of the Provencal school.
With a unique style, he translates in his paintings, the exuberance of the colors of the South. His still lifes, his seascapes, his landscapes are literally irradiated by the intensity of the light that he propagates. A joyful magnetism emanates from his works where the colors captivate and bring the senses to life.
