GEORGES COULOMB was born in 1947 in Port-de-Bouc in Provence where he still lives. Self-taught, sculptor at his artistic beginnings, he started to paint in 1970. Georges Coulomb is a contemporary expressionist figurative artist. He became an ambassador of the Provencal school.
With a unique style, he translates in his paintings, the exuberance of the colors of the South. His still lifes, his seascapes, his landscapes are literally irradiated by the intensity of the light that he propagates. A joyful magnetism emanates from his works where the colors captivate and bring the senses to life.
Georges Coulomb throws the colors of his palette flat and stretches them in masses, he paints with the ink of his memory. In his impetus, the painter reconstitutes reality in his own way and takes a new look at the world. The works of Georges COULOMB are part of numerous collections in Europe, the United States and Japan.
