It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Franz-Bernd Becker verbrachte sein Leben bis in die späten 1990er Jahre in Stolberg-Breinig und Umgebung. Von 1970 bis 1973 wurde er zunächst zum Schaufenstergestalter ausgebildet, bevor er von 1974 bis 1981 an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf bei Karl Kneidl (Bühnenbild) und Rissa (Bildende Kunst) studierte. 1981 wurde er Meisterschüler von Rissa.
Von 1978 bis 1995 waren seine Arbeiten dem amerikanischen Pattern-Painting - banal gemusterte Stoffe aus den 50er Jahren als Grundlage für eine Gestaltung aus reinen Farbflächen und dekorativen Ornamenten - und den expressionistisch-gegenständlichen Neuen Wilden zuzuordnen. Die Werke befinden sich größtenteils in Privatbesitz, sowie auch öffentlich in der Stadt Stolberg und in der K.O. Götz-Rissa-Stiftung. Später wandte er sich surrealistisch-informellen Bildern zu.
Nach einer längeren künstlerischen Pause entdeckte er ab 2019 die Fotografie für sich. Nach vielen Experimenten mit der Kamera, wie Belichtung, Einstellung, Motiv und Bewegung, führte das Endergebnis zur Abstraktion. Dabei ließ er sich durch die großen Kunstströmungen des 20. Jahrhunderts inspirieren. Die Abstraktion entsteht durch schnelle, manuelle Modellierung diverser Gegenstände direkt vor der Kamera. Somit sind es einzigartige Momentaufnahmen, die sich in dieser Form nicht wiederherstellen lassen. Durch diese Bearbeitung, einer gewissenhaften Auswahl der Objekte und einer Hintergrundbeleuchtung der transparenten Stoffe erhalten die Bilder eine tiefe Räumlichkeit mit kontrastreichen Strukturen und von Schattierungen beeinflusste Farben und Formen. Somit entsteht eine teils traumhaft, surrealistische und eine teils scharf abgegrenzte, sachlich-kühle Atmosphäre. Wichtig ist ihm bei seinen Arbeiten immer eine serielle, sich treu bleibende Abhandlung.
