Francesco Bortolotti
Francesco Bortolotti graduated on Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence on february 2002, with a thesis about the origin of oil painting and its technical developments during XV and XVI centuries in Italy and Flanders. This research continued through studying great Masters' techniques, and the copy of an italian romantic painter, Francesco Hayez.
His paintings, purely figurative, arises therefore by confronting with the tradition of the past as with nature. Favourite subjects are portrait and female figure.
