This soothing abstract landscape diptych was inspired by views of the Venice lagoon in winter.

When I go there, specially in the early morning, land, sea and mist merge into one another and nothing can be set apart.

I love the atmosphere this painting creates, that is both calming and evocative, making me imagine magical fairy-tales places.

Francesca Borgo was born in 1970, in Italy. Her works are in private collections in the USA, Europe and the UK. Recently one of her paintings has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts - Summer Exhibition 2022, London (UK).
