Federico Womb practices both painting and sculpture: in both cases the reasons for his inspiration are linked to the formal and phyto-informal representation of nature, animals and the landscape. In sculpture, his zoomorphic figures have particular structural solidity: animals, plants and human figures gather in compact and solid nuclei, from which however they tend to escape along metamorphic and dynamic trajectories. The matter is shaped and engraved with a spirit that could be defined as naive: the result is hybridized totemic forms, complexes of variegated beings but united in a single inseparable creature. Even in the chaos of indistinguishable features, a dialogue between all living things is possible. In Federico Womb's production no boundaries are established between man, woman and nature. Each being seems to carry its own mythology, a shared ancestral narrative, perhaps forgotten but still vital.
