Du plus loin que je mes souvenirs remontent, ma passion pour l’Asie a toujours était présente. Débutant par le Japon, son art, ses traditions, son architecture … Mes premières esquisses ressemblent à des Manga, de grands yeux, des proportions bien spécifiques, des bulles, des cases … Puis vint le moment de la rencontre avec cette Chine … Si grande, si magnifique, si luxuriante, si inspirante … Une mine d’or pour mes mains européennes … De Huang Shan au Wu Yuè, en passant par les temples et la calligraphie. Tout de ce pays m’inspire. De ma rencontre avec un ami asiatique naquit l’un des plus beau cadeau qui m’ait été donné de recevoir, Zhuo Yue. Ce nom, qui définit aujourd’hui mon œuvre. Le pays du matin calme est une autre chose. Influencé par ses contradictions moderno-traditionnelles, son esthétisme, sa culture, sa musique, sa mode … La Corée est une inspiration, d’une autre forme, pour des créations tout aussi diverses que variées. Un jour, un ami asiatique m’a dit « Ton travail, c’est l’Asie avec des yeux bleus », que dire de plus pour décrire ce mélange si cher à mon cœur, que j’essaye de créer, pour vous faire rêver, tout comme je rêve …
