Nelly Coudoux, painter and photographer, was born in Paris in July 1956, into a family where the love of art was deeply rooted. Her father was a West Indian musician and her mother an Italian seamstress who cherished art in all its forms. These varied artistic influences have shaped his creative journey.
As a child, Nelly had two dreams: working with children and becoming a decorative painter. These aspirations marked the beginning of his artistic quest. However, her life took a significant turn with the birth of her son, an experience that profoundly influenced her artistic journey. She felt the need to connect art and the social in her profession. This is how she undertook training in art therapy, an approach which left a lasting imprint on her painting.
For Nelly Coudoux, painting is a life path, an authentic creative experience where she can express herself without worrying about how others see her. She views painting as a means of profound communication, a means of reaching others through artistic expression. The works of other artists, whether dance, painting, sculpture or singing, inspire her, shake her up, move her, and help her find her own artistic voice. This artistic abundance helps him discover his personal expression, to refocus on the essential: being.
After an initial passion for dance, Nelly found a new path of artistic expression in painting. She paints as an amateur, thus fulfilling a dream deeply rooted in her. The comments and reactions of the public are a source of inspiration and motivation for her, because she knows that art is a universal language that can touch and move others.
Nelly Coudoux's art is a reflection of her quest for authenticity, her desire to communicate with others through artistic creation.
