Vicky Courtens was born on April 29, 1974 in Roeselare, Belgium.
She is a self-taught ceramist and founded her own ceramic design studio in 2017. She uses computer technology to design prototypes and then crafts her objects using traditional artisanal methods.
Their timeless designs are handmade and therefore always unique. The artist surprises the viewer with fun and eye-catching ceramic pieces that invite you to take a closer look. Vicky is mainly inspired by nature, but also by artificial objects found in nature. Landmarks such as breakwaters, towers, buoys...shaping and changing the otherwise flat surface of the horizon.
