Born on May 30, 1968 in Hauts de Seine, Valbrun (Valérie Brunschwig-Levy) was surrounded by a musical and artistic environment from an early age. Attracted very early by the Italian Lyric Opera, she studied music theory at the age of five and learned the piano in a music school, then entered the Caen Regional Conservatory.
Her taste for painting was revealed to her by the Impressionists, by whom she was very quickly influenced. She studied them and found herself forever marked by an exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris by Monet and Pissaro in the 1980s.
The colors, the sky, the calligraphy, the illuminations and the patterns of Persian fabrics and carpets fascinate her.
Pencils in hand as a teenager, she put them down to study law and practice her profession in business.
For 11 years, she returned to her artistic loves: she took lessons in drawing techniques then enrolled at the Ecole du Louvre in 2009.
Encouraged by her Teacher, she finally started and expressed herself through painting by creating her own paintings.
The desire is there and the first steps have been taken.
Slowly, but surely, she finds her inspiration in her cheerful, colorful, abstract but deep universe.
