Seagull. Hello my friend! Thank you for your interest in my work.
The painting is painted in mixed technique. The rocks and stones were painted with a brushstroke in impasto technique as a thick lush spot of paint to enhance the effect of light and texture. The sky and sea have been painted in thin layers on top of the main paint to emphasise the deep shimmering colours and hues, similar to transparent glass or glaze. And I wanted to show the protagonist of the painting, Seagull, as three-dimensional and as close to the viewer as possible. It simply flew up from the rock and soared into the air. We see the landscape of the beach from above, so we are on the same level as the seagull.

Acrylic

Lacquer
