D’origine italo-libanaise, Susanna arrive en France à son adolescence, et s’exerce au dessin en montrant déjà une certaine acuité dans cette discipline.
C’est à la mort de son oncle, artiste-peintre, qu’elle réalise ses premières toiles sur le chevalet légué par celui-ci.
