BILLBOARD SOUTH BEACH is a mixed media collage made in 1991 after my first trip to Florida. Made up of watercolor drawing elements, the billiards frame is made by welding copper and brass elements. The "Art DEco" district of MIami Beach was saved from the clutches of developers and bulldozers in the 90s, and today constitutes a very dense Art Deco district of nearly 800 buildings, most of the hotel-motels, present the American ART DECO period. The Flashy Colors help to attract the gaze of passers-by, tourists and photographers as soon as the buildings stand out against an immaculate intense blue sky !! The delivery can be made in a drawing box protected by 2 plywood or 3mm medium plates, which does not quite constitute "a box" but constitutes an effective protection against shocks during delivery !!
